  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams to empower Okta staff to carry out impactful research
  • Help manage the general pipeline of inbound research requests from various teams across the organization, including prioritizing new and ongoing projects
  • Develop and maintain research documentation, templates and other informational resources for research methods, procedures and techniques.
  • Develop internal activities that help cultivate Okta’s broader user research culture and community.
  • Helps teams access relevant knowledge through reviews of past research
  • Support cross-functional team members to analyze, share, and store their findings and insights
  • Grow your colleagues’ research skills and competencies through training workshops, presentations, and documentation.
  • Conduct primary research with both Okta staff and potentially customers to inform the improvement of user research operations
  • Ensure that user research programs and processes meet accessibility standards and promote inclusion among both Okta staff and customers
  • Ensure compliance with ethical research standards as well as privacy policies and regulations
  • Contribute to the continuing improvement of our research systems, such as our participant panel and research repository
  • Manage and maintain a database of existing and prospective research participants
  • Provide leadership in program management methodologies and best practices, ensuring consistent and successful delivery of projects
  • Identify and manage potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project challenges proactively

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in research or operational programming roles
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in anthropology, sociology, psychology, human-computer interaction, program management, business (or other related field) or equivalent work experience

  • A holistic and collaborative approach to solving problems
  • Proactive approach to making research a team sport
  • A strong sense of ownership, transparency, flexibility, and ability to self-initiate projects
  • Knowledge of the practices and impacts of inclusive research and design approaches
  • Creativity in supporting challenging research recruitments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple research programs simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align research operations initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of UX research approaches and methodologies (including direct research experience to ensure quality of research).
  • Project management and/or operational expertise to ensure programs are sustainable, scalable, and delivered within constraints.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and possess a desire to overcome obstacles.
  • A curious mind, a quick learner with a bias for action, and an attention to detail.
  • An ability to train/coach others to ensure the program runs successfully and the people who you’re guiding to execute research themselves are fully supported

The Challenge

We are looking for a dynamic Information Security GRC Analyst to support IT and InfoSec by performing various governance, risk, and compliance activities as part of the OneTrust InfoSec GRC team.

  • Collaborate with our sales team to address customer audits, assist with RFPs/RFQs and internal audits, manage the issues and risk acceptance process, and execute risk management processes to support ongoing compliance efforts.
  • Supports ongoing compliance and audit processes
  • Works with IT and business owners to collect evidence of effective controls
  • Updates or defines policy, standard, and process documentation to align with compliance requirements
  • Responds to customer inquiries and RFP/RFQs to provide appropriate answers
  • Supports customer audits as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO, and FedRAMP
  • Working knowledge of Data Loss Prevention ideas, methodologies, and procedures
  • Understanding of Data Governance and Data Security/Protection
  • Understanding of the different types of sensitive data, and the classifications of that data
  • Understanding of concepts of the least privilege and zero trust models
  • Understanding of technology domains including governance, risk management, security, privacy, and information technology and business continuity
  • Planning, supporting, and/or executing audits (customer-driven, internal, external)
  • Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years of equivalent work experience or a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.

Salary Range

  • $78,750 — $118,125 USD

  • Product Expertise
  • Capture customer’s business and risk requirements, translating them into technical requirements
  • Knowledge of network security products and solutions
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to ensure customers and partners get the most out of our products
  • Exposure with capacity planning, bug scrub, hardware and software lifecycle management

  • Strong experience in using tools such as Salesforce, JIRA, Gainsight or Tableau
  • Experience in working as a trusted technical advisor to drive value for customers, including the ability to interact with C-suite through client teams at various levels of technical and non-technical depth
  • Skilled in managing customer escalations with experience in technical support, account management
  • Some experience with configuring and deploying CDSS features
  • Ability to create and present effective QBR/EBR presentations
  • Perform and document root cause analysis
