  • Acting as a mentor and growing the more junior members on your squad
  • Conducting 1:1 meetings each month for all members of your team
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of your squad members skills so you can effectively assign appropriate projects and accounts
  • Conducting reviews of all squad members 1-2 times per year
  • Understanding the status and health of accounts on your team, with a focus on the top 15 (largest ACV) and those that renew within the fiscal year
  • Holding weekly account reviews for your team pairs and providing updates and escalations of account issues
  • Attending meetings with internal teams to track and drive client maturity and strengthen relationships
  • Assisting in onboarding new hires to your team and with the shadowing program
  • Supporting new hire “Analyst” training, mock deliverables and customer facing deliverables (~6 hours per month)
  • Attending and providing direction on initial customer calls to help with difficult questions and engagement focus to ensure a good start
  • In partnership with your manager, helping with capacity planning for your squad
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams to communicate potential improvement to internal tooling, processes, and training
  • Assigning the appropriate resources on your team to assist with POC’s
  • Reporting on key metrics including value, growth/consumption, customer maturity, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics or other quantitative disciplines is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience leading teams and driving cross functional collaboration

Preferred Requirements:

  • Must possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Has strong conceptualization and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to bring business and technical people together around clear product concepts, and to motivate them to deliver whole, working solutions
  • Proven ability to work under pressure; ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities
  • Recognizes and understands both personal and team dynamics and relationships, is empathetic to stakeholder concerns, is invested in the success of the team and effectively influences and persuades
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

DOE, annual salary of $120K - $135K plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401k, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience, education and location.

Position Summary

F5 is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a distributed, cross-functional team executing on a new product initiative spanning F5’s existing hardware, software, and hybrid offerings. Successful candidates will have a proven record of leading remote teams.

In addition to providing guidance, managing performance, and supporting team members’ professional development, this role will be responsible for striking the delicate balance between exploratory, greenfield development and delivering the rock-solid, enterprise-grade technical solutions that F5 is known for.

  • Lead and shape the product development team, fostering a culture of trust, growth, and autonomy.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leadership to deliver a strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for the team.
  • Establish a development cadence and be accountable for proactively communicating and mitigating risks to delivery.
  • Engage with peers across the company to create alignment on interdependencies.
  • Fully understand and represent the team’s technical decisions to internal stakeholders.
  • Be a knowledgeable point of contact for balancing technical options against business objectives.
  • Handle people management functions including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting goals, providing continuous feedback, holding regular 1:1 meetings, evaluating talent, and, when necessary, developing performance improvement plans and taking disciplinary action.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing a development team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and leading geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong background in software development, preferably including Go or Python.
  • Practical knowledge of containerization and cloud native software deployments.
  • Functional knowledge of distributed systems development and deployment.
  • Understanding of operating system fundamentals, Linux networking, load balancing techniques, and protocols like HTTP and gRPC.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and related subjects (Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, etc.)

Summary

This role is responsible for defining and executing the North America East regional field marketing plan, reporting to the Senior Director of Americas Marketing as part of Fastly’s Americas Marketing team. You will collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Corporate Marketing teams to design targeted, comprehensive marketing programs to generate new pipeline in the Enterprise and Commercial segments across North America.   • Drive priority account engagement and pipeline creation with emphasis in increasing new logo acquisition in alignment with the sales organization
  • Develop and execute the regional marketing plan, integrating field events, demand generation campaigns, webinars, and account-driven and partner marketing programs to grow Fastly’s customer base
  • Lead cross-functional projects by collaborating with Sales, SDRs, Marketing Ops, Product Marketing, and other Marketing teams to achieve high-impact marketing objectives
  • Represent regional priorities and ensure adequate marketing support for accounts, including branding, ABM, digital, social, and outbound campaigns
  • Identify and implement innovative event formats and bespoke experiences, selecting formats and partners based on personas and regional goals
  • Manage the regional marketing budget, evaluate third-party sponsorships, and produce reports to assess initiative performance and ROI
  • Oversee data analysis and communications with regional stakeholders, reporting on KPIs, issue management, and feedback for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in Field Marketing, Integrated Marketing, or Regional Marketing ideally within technology, SaaS, or B2B segments
  • Strong marketing acumen with a successful track record of developing and implementing integrated marketing plans in North America
  • Demonstrated success in driving customer acquisition and expansion within a high-growth, multi-product company
  • Solid understanding of the customer journey and best marketing approaches for each stage
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Looker, or other marketing automation and analytics tools
  • Highly analytical and metrics-driven, with rigorous attention to detail; skilled at solving complex problems with a curious, creative mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work both strategically and tactically, coordinating multiple moving parts under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the security or cloud computing industry in North America

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $114,200 to $142,750.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
