Security Analyst II

Deepwatch is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, technical analyst dedicated to making a difference in global security by protecting organizations against the most advanced attackers in the world. Our Security Operations Center offers opportunities to expand your skill set through a wide variety of experiences, detecting and responding to incidents as they occur in real-time for our customers.   • Support incident handling processes across multiple platforms and security technologies including Windows, Linux and macOS
  • Provide in depth analysis from escalated requests originating from Security Analyst 1
  • Validate suspicious events by performing investigations using SIEM and SOAR technologies, leveraging Deepwatch proprietary tooling, intelligence and OSINT, TTPs and IOCs
  • Identify gaps in customer environments, data ingested or configuration errors which reduce telemetry quality
  • Work with customer and leadership to surface and resolve concerns
  • Provide support to Security Analyst I including coaching and training as necessary
  • Leverage your knowledge of Alert Triage, SOC Operations, and Defense in Depth (DiD) to contribute to projects for overall customer success
  • Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management in a timely manner
  • Surface opportunities for improvement in the squad and for the customer and be a change agent for measurably improving our customer security posture and experience
  • Continue to sharpen your skills and capabilities on the job, and through the Deepwatch development program

Required Qualifications:

  • Have a strong understanding of cyber security principles, concepts and practices including the ability to perform a complete and thorough incident investigation and triage with very limited support from Analyst III’s
  • Know your way around SIEM platforms (Splunk preferred), how to perform queries and leverage various log sources to perform investigations
  • Operate autonomously requiring minimal support on investigative actions
  • Competency with in-depth header analysis, hashes and Windows/macOS/Linux logs
  • Demonstrate the ability to pivot to other log sources, cloud systems or consoles to perform a comprehensive analysis from multiple data sources.
  • Have a basic understanding of modern EDR, email security and cloud identity platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write well-written reports and analysis that’s thorough, accurate and complete.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Support Analyst I and learn from Analyst III when you need helping hand
  • A desire to support others and uplift the program and team through updating training materials and SOPs
  • Sec+, CySA, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent certification preferred

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other quantitative disciplines is required.
  • 3- 5 years of experience with data analysis, including looking at and distilling complex sets of data and presenting findings in an engaging way

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in data driven analysis - excellent at working with, understanding, analyzing data
  • Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, JS, CSS, networking, Content Delivery Networks, Cloud; basic understanding of Chrome Dev and Webpage test
  • Proficient with analysis tools including Google Analytics, Adobe, Advanced Excel, Tableau, SPSS, R, etc.
  • Stellar conceptualization and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to bring business and technical people together around clear product concepts, and to motivate them to deliver whole, working solutions
  • Operates with a customer first focus
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple conflicting priorities
  • Recognizes and understands both personal and team dynamics and relationships, is empathetic to stakeholder concerns and effectively influences and persuades
  • Thinks proactively and tries to develop solutions rather than wait for an answer
  • Has a desire to learn new technology and deliver successful customer and partner outcomes for stakeholders at all levels

Expectation: all Insights team members are expected to travel at least 1 time per year for annual team meetings.

Employees Can Work Remotely Within the United Sates with residence 45 miles distance outside of local office.

DOE, annual salary of $75K - $90K plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401k, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience, education and location.

  • Provide one-stop-shop support to Sales and Sales Management by assisting them through the sales process, including internal processes and Salesforce inquiries.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Product, Partners, Deal Desk and Legal to name a few) to ensure timely deal cycles.
  • Proactively communicate status updates and “remove the noise” so that the sales team can focus on selling.
  • Pursue and leverage feedback from Sales Team and other stakeholders in order to proactively collaborate with Sales Ops Leadership on process and systems improvements.
  • Organize operational trainings and general cadences with Account Executives and Sales Management on an ongoing basis.

Minimum requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience.
  • Live in East or Central Time Zone. And is open to working West Coast hours occasionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or experience required.

Preferred requirements:

  • 1-2 years of work experience, ideally in Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Package: Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • General understanding of Customer Relationship Software (CRM).

Compensation and rewards

  • The base salary range for this role is $44,000 - $55,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education, and work location.
  • Our total compensation package includes unlimited personal time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and a reward system.
  • We also offer medical/dental benefits, and a company matching 401(k) plan for retirement.
