General Description:

The IT Identity and Access Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing IAM strategies, managing user access procedures, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline access management processes, technology, mitigate risks, and support organizational growth. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the Identity Access Management (IAM) and Business System Analysts teams.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for any user or business stakeholder issues.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with business units throughout the organization to understand their working environments and communications needs. Recommends and oversees the implementation of technical solutions within the IAM space that support business requirements.
  • Conducts effective resource management for the team. Oversees the assignment of resources to a variety of project and operational tasks.
  • Hires, manages the performance of, and mentors team members. Develops and oversees the implementation of training plans that improve the performance of technical staff at all levels.
  • Oversees project management functions associated with area-specific projects, to include analysis, planning, design, implementation and transition to operations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors. Oversee the purchasing of software and licensing, and the execution of professional services. Regularly evaluate vendor services against cost to ensure value.
  • Develop and implement the team plan in support of broader Technical Services objectives.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of 4-year degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IAM roles, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership position.
  • Knowledge/Skills:
  • Experience in managing IAM projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in IAM technologies (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Azure AD, CyberArk, etc).
  • Strong understanding of identity governance, authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), and access management.
  • Experience with IAM architecture and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IAM challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
