About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Director, Detection & Response, the Information Security Engineer will design and build information security systems for detecting and investigating potentially malicious activity. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.

Responsibilities

  • Create and enhance analytics to proactively detect threats with high-quality coverage and low false-positive rates.
  • Investigate and triage suspicious IT events.
  • Drive incident response efforts across cross-functional teams.
  • Support the definition and execution of threat detection and response strategy.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Position requires Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related STEM field, and 3 years of experience with cyber security and systems engineering.
  • 3 years of experience with threat detection and threat response solution development in a cloud-first environment, including IaaS, PaaS, and Saas.
  • 3 years of experience with building and automating threat detection analytics and threat hunting methodologies.
  • 3 years of experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework and application.
  • 3 years of experience with AWS RedShift, AWS Cloud Trail, AWS Shield, AWS Guard Duty, Bash, Burp Suite, cloud security, CrowdStrike, DynamoDB, End Point Security, Infrastructure Security, PowerShell, Python, RSA Netwitness, Splunk Enterprise Security, Threat Modeling, and Wireshark.

Compensation Details: The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
