  • Provide well-thought-out and reliable advice and troubleshooting for application development with Okta with existing and prospective customers, ISVs, and developers.
  • Take ownership of questions and issues, including initial troubleshooting, identification of root causes, and issue resolution.
  • Write code/script to build user scenarios using Okta API and SDKs, to reproduce issues.
  • Assist and educate developers integrating with Okta using OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and Okta's public APIs.
  • Collect information and document bugs with Engineering for API and product issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product and Documentation and provide feedback on common or emerging issues. Craft process or troubleshooting documentation in the support knowledge base. Engage and respond to the Okta developer community through Stack Overflow, forums, etc. Deliver against customer experience targets.
  • Push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry standard practices to come up with process improvements and new ways to delight customers.
  • Participate in after hours/weekend on call rotation for critical customer cases.
  • Abide by work hours of 9am - 6pm PST

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Support, technical support, solutions/sales engineering, or software development, preferably a customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated ability to program in Javascript and one statically typed language (C#, Java)
  • Expertise supporting Single Page Applications built using frameworks like React, Angular, Vue
  • Expertise supporting modern web applications built using Java Spring, ASP .NET, ASP .NET Core, Node.js
  • Experience supporting REST APIs.
  • Real passion for solving issues and advocating for customer success in a dynamic, highly technical environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills in a variety of forms (written, live chat, conference calls, in-person.)
  • This position requires the ability to access Impact Level 4 (IL4) data, as defined by the Department of Defense (DoD) Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide. As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with React Native, iOS, or Android Development
  • Experience with packet analysis of PCAP using tools like WireShark
  • BA/BS/MS in Computer Science or related discipline (Preferred)

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:

  • $99,000—$149,000 USD

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:

  • $111,000—$167,000 USD

  • Design, implement and test production-grade diagnostics for high-speed digital boards and ASICS to help with hardware validation.
  • Design, implement and test manufacturing tests to validate mass production of digital boards used in data center networking product
  • Bring-up newly manufactured boards and port the first level of software.
  • Isolate and perform root-cause analysis of reported failures
  • Support new platform software and hardware features
  • Coordinate with the hardware engineering team on bring-up schedules and feature delivery
  • Participate proactively in design discussions, design/code reviews, and project management
  • Create system software written in C and scripting languages (Python, Bash) for our Linux-based appliance platform
  • Work independently as well as in team roles.
  • Use a version control system to systematically document and version the diagnostic software.
  • Mentor younger members of the team and inculcate team spirit.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with +5 years experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Well versed in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL etc.
  • Embedded programming and good knowledge of OS internals (Linux/Unix)
  • In depth view of Computer Networking, OSI layers such as TCP/IP etc.
  • Has knowledge of common inter connecting buses and interfaces such as PCIE, I2C, XAUI, 10G Ethernet drivers, FPGA, Switch chips, SSL offload, TCAM programming.
  • Smart Bits and/or IXIA usage and performance improvement
  • Ability to appreciate software engineering principles and coding procedures

  • Exceed measurable sales objectives and extend the Arista brand within a named list of enterprise accounts in the San Francisco Bay area.
  • You will be responsible for utilizing a consultative selling approach with key client stakeholders to address the business needs of hybrid cloud computing and siloed legacy IT systems across the Arista product portfolio including; Software-Driven Cloud Networking platforms, EOS (Open Source Network OS), Cognitive Campus Networking, WI-FI Campus networking, Cloud Vision (Network Automation & Telemetry), Network Monitoring Fabric solutions in addition to NDR, Endpoint and AI driven Network Identity Access security solutions.
  • Meet with key influencers, decision-makers, and C-levels to present Arista's value proposition.
  • Work with Arista systems engineers to design and position compelling solutions that drive down the total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to identify prospects and demonstrate best-in-class solutions.
  • Establish and manage key channel relationships in your territory.
  • Formulate strategic and tactical account plans based on periodic business reviews with your prospects and customers.
  • Conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, lunch-n-learns and technology forums.
  • Collaborate with Arista peers on marketing plans and best practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with technology partner solutions, competing solutions and competitor strategies.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in addition to 8+ years of technology sales experience.
  • Proven track record of direct selling into target accounts within the assigned territory and exceeding sales targets.
  • You possess relevant data center or networking (LAN/WAN, SDN) industry background from a technology partner, competitor, channel partner or end user is a requirement.
  • Strong rolodex and relationships within the territory.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • You possess previous selling experience and technical acumen in one or more of the following areas; Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper converged infrastructure or Cloud computing.
