  • As a Regional Sales Manager - Civilian, you will drive and orchestrate complex sales cycles and work with our internal partners and teams to best serve the customer
  • Bring your experience and consultative selling skills to initiate long-standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors
  • Your focus will be to create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments
  • Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs so you can effectively position Palo Alto Networks
  • Engage a programmatic approach to demand to generate, develop, and expand your territory
  • Leverage prospect stories to create a compelling value proposition with insights into value for that specific account.
  • Stay updated on industry news and trends, and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services
  • Travel as necessary within your territory, and to company-wide meeting

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS-based architectures, ideally in a networking and/or security context; awareness of SASE technology is preferred
  • Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with our channel partners to bring channel-centric go-to-market approach for our customers
  • Have and able to lead all aspects of the sales cycle with the ability to uncover, qualifying, developing, and closing new, white-space territories and accounts
  • Deep knowledge of the U.S. DOD and/or intelligence community
  • Possess a successful track record selling complex-solutions
  • Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction
  • Highly competitive, ramp quickly, extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals
  • Active security clearance

The Director will shape Akamai's enterprise security narrative. You will lead a team of product marketers tasked with developing messaging and positioning. This team will educate sellers, prospects and customers to increase product adoption.

  • Developing positioning and messaging for Akamai Enterprise Security products and services
  • Collaborating with product/engineering teams and influence product roadmaps

  • Coordinating with sales enablement, analyst/public relations and other teams ensuring consistent messaging for our customers and prospects
  • Reporting on and researching data to evaluate the impact and push for continuous improvement showing real results

Required Qualifications

  • 12 years of relevant B2B product marketing experience in cybersecurity and a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience leading content development processes - ideation, research, strategy, planning, project management - with clear, actionable plans
  • Manage multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually, leading, and collaborating across teams as well as manage a team of product marketers
  • Be well-versed in cybersecurity, particularly in enterprise security and Zero Trust approach
  • Be comfortable in collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders in highly matrixed organizations and ability to drive and turn large group discussions into deliverables

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $149,500 - $310,500/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
