  • Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features and infrastructure on our next-generation security platform ready for cloud native deployment from inception to completion
  • Work with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve the best quality - You accomplish this by being hands-on, creating tools, processes, and systems that produce transparency, alignment, and direction
  • Profile, optimize and tune systems software (management/control/dataplane) for efficient cloud operation
  • Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues
  • Work with other software development team to apply PanOS features on Prisma Access
  • Interview, mentor and coach new team members

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in developing data-plane applications
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP stack, TLS
  • Required C/C++ Programming
  • Experience with building applications in the cloud
  • Strong Data structures/Algorithms & debugging
  • In-depth understanding of Operating System principles and OS like Linux/Unix
  • M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent military experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Nice to have hands-on programming experience in Python and Go
  • Working experience with Envoy is a plus
  • Exposure to building Microservices
  • Enjoys working with many different teams with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Solid foundation in design, data structures, and algorithms, and strong analytical and debugging skills

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126000 - $204500/YR.   • Win new logos, renew existing customer and expand business within your territory
  • Achieve ACV sales quotas on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Present regular/accurate forecasting for review
  • Track and report on all opportunities, pipeline, and bookings to provide forecast reports to region management
  • Engage with the local Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, and Google) sales programs and joint activities
  • Develop, share and implement standard methodologies and account strategies to increase our sales penetration of Cloud Security into our top accounts
  • Engage with customers to identify and progress opportunities whilst delivering subject matter expertise on Cloud & Cloud Native Security solutions
  • Qualify and progress leads and opportunities through the sales cycle to closure
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with channel partners
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, DevOps & Cloud Native technologies as well as the competitive position of the company
  • Conduct consistent training and communications for the sales and channel teams as well as joint engagement within the wider organization
  • Contribute to the larger Palo Alto Network’s Cloud & Cloud Native strategy by providing regional specific intelligence and reporting
  • Apply subject matter expertise in training, QBRs, enablement, and other engagement activities
  • Gather “Voice of Customer” and competitive intelligence and share with theater and global Cloud organization
  • Help build and project Palo Alto Networks position as the number one enterprise cloud security company

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years' field sales experience exceeding sales quota targeting net new logos
  • Sales excellence - ability to demonstrate planning, strategy, qualification and execution
  • Deep understanding of Cybersecurity space required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Public Cloud Security space preferred
  • Prior experience selling SAAS or Cloud solutions
  • Excellent communication skills including strong verbal and written skills and proven presentation skills being able to articulate complex topics
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and consultative sales techniques

  • Collaborate and Support – Work closely with the Services Sales Systems Engineering team and Account Managers in the West and South Enterprise regions, which span two time zones (PDT and MDT), to recommend the right Professional Services
  • Align Customer Outcomes - Connect service offerings with customers’ business goals to maximize the value of Palo Alto Networks’ technologies
  • Ensure Delivery Success - Partner with the delivery team to forecast resource needs, streamline transitions, and ensure smooth service execution
  • Own Your Goals - Take ownership of forecasting and achieving your sales target, ensuring alignment with regional objectives
  • Travel - Expect up to 50% domestic travel for key client engagements

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a sales overlay role selling services to large enterprise organizations, preferably within an IT manufacturer or consulting environment, with a proven track record of driving revenue through value-based selling.
  • Ability to independently develop strategies for achieving high sales quotas across multiple accounts
  • Skilled in identifying and aligning with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to executives, to ensure successful service delivery
  • Capable of designing service programs that meet customer business needs and unlock the full potential of PANW solutions
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
  • Outstanding prioritization skills to handle a high volume of deals with efficiency
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and technology operationalization
  • Experience working with channel partners and understanding channel-centric go-to-market models
  • Understanding of key security technologies, including Firewalls (on-prem and cloud-based), SASE solutions, Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Endpoint security, Security operations tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent military experience) preferred
