  • Provide post-sales technical support, configurations, troubleshooting, and standard methodologies to customers via phone, e-mail, and web
  • Meet enhanced response SLA’s for customers who purchase our Platinum Support Offering
  • Handle support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups finished in a timely manner
  • Use fault isolation and root cause analysis skills to diagnose and tackle complicated technical issues
  • Work to reproduce customer issues and qualify critical issues
  • Work directly with ETAC and Engineering to get customer issues resolved
  • Have a thorough understanding of software release and bug cycles
  • Conduct multi-vendor troubleshooting
  • Has visibility across the entire organization and Executive Leadership
  • Publish Technical Support Bulletins and other user documentation in the Knowledge Base
  • Build a positive customer experience by working closely with Development, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Marketing
  • Responsible for reviewing user documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, problem-solving guides, etc.
  • Travel may be required to customer sites in the event of a critical situation to expedite resolution
  • Provide on-call support 24x7 on an as needed basis & provide coverage on weekends and public holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years related experience
  • Required experience with TCP/IP
  • Ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unparalleled networks with mixed media and protocols required
  • In-depth experience in routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, VLAN)
  • Experience with security (IPSEC, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE)
  • Prior experience in similar vendor Technical Support Centers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Authentication Protocols a plus (LDAP/SAML/Radius / TACACS)
  • Knowledge of VM and multi cloud environment is preferred
  • Experience with Windows and MAC OS is a plus (Debugging, Editing Registries, Plist etc.)
  • Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper (NetScreen), Fortinet products, ZScaler a plus
  • Advanced certifications such as CCNP CCIE/JNCIP, JNCIE/PCNSE - a plus

The Team

Our technical support team is critical to our success and mission. As part of this team, you enable customer success by providing support to clients after they have purchased our products. Our dedication to our customers doesn’t stop once they sign – it evolves. As threats and technology change, we stay in step to accomplish our mission.

You’ll be involved in implementing new products, transitioning from old products to new, and will fix integrations and critical issues as they are raised – in fact, you’ll seek them out to ensure our clients are safely supported. We fix and identify technical problems, with a pointed focus of providing the best customer support in the industry.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $94000 - $152000/YR.   • Technical Marketing Strategy - Develop, continuously refine, and execute the technical marketing plan for critical accounts to drive engagement and sales
  • Content Creation - Create, maintain, and deliver effective technical tools, whitepapers, demos, videos, and technical training for sales teams, customers, and partners
  • Automation Leadership - Lead automation initiatives within and across cross-functional teams, striving to achieve technical and operational excellence throughout the release process
  • Competitive Analysis - Conduct competitive research and testing to identify key advantages of our product lines and effectively communicate them to sales, customers, and partners

  • Technical Documentation - Document technical concepts to ensure our products are well understood and utilized to their fullest potential
  • Competitive Lab Setup - Setup and maintain a competitive test lab, including test harness, competitive products, and automation environment
  • Product Testing - Configure and test competitive products, evaluating their strengths in security efficacy and product features
  • Own the technical product areas in Prisma Access/SSE/SASE domain.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience - 5+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer in the network/cybersecurity field or as a DevOps/Solution Architect, preferably for networking or data security products with focus on RUM, Observability, DEM, or APM is a plus
  • Technical Proficiency - Automation experience with Java/Python, SASE/SSE expertise - SWG, CASB, DLP, FWaaS protocols, Threat Protection, Virtualization, Cloud Infrastructure knowledge - GCP, AWS, Azure
  • Agility - Ability to deliver high-quality work in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Networking Knowledge - Prior experience with networking; cloud security experience is an added advantage
  • Track Record - Proven track record of creating products from concept to market success
  • User Experience Focus - Strong focus on end-user experience and data visualization tools and technologies
  • Communication Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and trade show experience - Capable of communicating at both business and technical levels with internal teams, customers, partners, and executives
  • Customer Advocacy - Strong customer advocacy skills with experience in handling difficult customer situations

The Team

This team provides the behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our Systems Engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in and helping to implement technical solutions based on our clients' feedback and needs.   • Meeting and exceeding sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans that target cross-platform solutions.

  • Demonstrating strong communication skills, influencing through effective presentations and customer-specific demos, and conducts technical engagements and workshops that are clear and impactful, simplifying complex ideas for various audiences
  • Leading successful technical validation efforts based on best practices to ensure technical win in assigned opportunities.
  • Demonstrates Cross functional leadership driving collaboration and orchestrating supporting resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) to ensure a one-team approach that demonstrates a cohesive strategy.
  • Promoting end-to-end solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services to ensure customers realize business value sooner

Your Experience

  • 6+ years experience in pre-sales/sales engineering
  • Understanding of data networking and/or modern application design and cloud architectures
  • Experience in delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives is preferred
  • Influencing and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role; prior experience in a pre-sales role is ideal
  • Creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements
  • Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing one or more of the following solutions: Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies
  • Partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions
  • Experience in complex sales involving long sales processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions are preferred
  • This is a field sales position where travel requirements may be required to support in person customer meetings, please discuss with the recruiter on the specifics for this position.
