Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement statistical quantification methodologies based on cyber security and firmographic data.
  • Research additional data sources to help bolster Bitsight’s cyber risk quantification models.
  • Contribute to a robust and automated testing framework that ensures the accuracy and repeatability of the results that are produced.
  • Contribute to and manage the Bitsight toolboxes and codebases for data-science-driven data pipelines, product features, and services.
  • Create and sustain well-documented, validated, and tested code that can be operationalized or integrated into product services.
  • Contribute to creating technical content for customer-facing documentation and training activities.
  • Anticipate technical issues at the product level and make design decisions to avoid them.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Quantitative Science
  • Years of Experience: minimum 1 year equivalent industry experience at the staff level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification/Specialized Skills: Git, Python/R, SQL; software SDLC and package/library development; shell/bash/command line scripting; big data stack (Spark/Hadoop); applied machine learning; statistical analysis; data visualization and reporting tools; AWS; ability to manipulate, clean, and combine large, complex disparate data sources; ability to read, learn, and evangelize algorithms and statistical methodologies from peer-reviewed literature

This position may be considered a promotional opportunity pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$150,000 to $170,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant. Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
