Facility Cyber Security (SME) Technical Support (Fully Remote) – Tyndall AFB, FL

BB&E is a full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

BB&E is seeking a Facility Cyber Security (SME) Technical Supports to support AFCEC/CO Tyndall AFB, FL. This is a REMOTE opportunity with some travel required as needed by the client.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and resolution for acquisition, development, and sustainment of industrial control systems (ICS), sub-systems, support equipment, networking, cybersecurity solutions and enclave solutions.
  • Establish criteria, plan, and design performance characteristics for ICS, major electronic/electrical/network systems, and accountability for assigned and assignments concerning Information Assurance/Cyber security compliance.
  • Includes CE ICS associated with Support of Defense Critical Assets, a TS/SCI classified program.
  • Assist with the technical resolution of ICS guidance, policy development, interpret and clarify, and offer technical support for planning and execution of the Air Force Certification and Accreditation Program to the base, installations and/or MAJCOMs.
  • Evaluate data, document then troubleshoot technical issues, plan and determine problem for installations.
  • Perform review and evaluation of designs, examine proposals, cybersecurity research and analysis of technical problems.
  • Develop briefings, presentations, slides, and papers that document technical decisions.
  • Manage, consolidate, track and respond to organization comments, and/or electronic messages.
  • Draft agendas, facilitate and provide meeting minutes to include technical reports.
  • Provide technical expertise in criteria development, code review, read manuals and instructions, evaluation engineering and cybersecurity policy to provide interpretation, conflicting and inadequate guidance.
  • Assist with documentation of program files, organization and provide administrative support to include support resources such as CE DASH requests.
  • Evaluation emerging technologies, industry best practices, and recommend alternative solutions to include specifications, cost estimates, performance, applicability of methods, initial methodology development and life cycle cost analysis.
  • Assist with training presentations and course development in assigned subject area.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Top Secret/SCE Clearance or ability to get a clearance through BB&E.
  • DoD 8570.01M IAT-III (Computer Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or ability for contractor to provide training so employee becomes certified.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field with fifteen (15) or more years of experience involving cybersecurity practices and computer network design in a military environment.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of related experience.
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience directly related to the cybersecurity practices and computer network design supporting large organizations (e.g., over 500 users).
  • Must be familiar with all DoD and AF Engineering Policies/Concepts to include:
  • Demonstrated understanding of DoD risk management concepts, commercial and industrial computer network design, and cyber security practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to show a working knowledge and familiarity with cybersecurity laws regulations and policies such as NDAA 2016, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Risk Management Framework, 800-53, and 800-82, DoDD 8500 series, and AFI 33-210.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting/reviewing or developing computer network system schematics, site drawings, and data/cut-sheets.
  • MS Office Computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
