• Support new product releases, regulatory assessments, adoption of novel technologies (e.g., generative AI, large language model), and other product-related programs.
• Partner with teams (product management, privacy, security, cloud operations, and compliance) to address new privacy, AI/ML, security, and regulatory requirements in Zscaler's products and services.
• Create and lead trainings and presentations on product due diligence, generative AI best practices, data privacy, and other relevant topics.
• Identify, design, and implement processes that support and keep pace with product innovations while ensuring compliance with internal risk management.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate technology, distribution, licensing, and other commercial agreements related to the introduction of new products and features.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 6+ years in product and privacy counseling experience in-house, or a combination of both in-house and private practice – with at least 3 of those years in a product legal role at a cloud, software, or SaaS technology company.
• Experience supporting product management and engineering partners at technology companies.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge in as many of the following areas as possible: data privacy, AI governance, open-source software, intellectual property, contract negotiation, and cloud computing.
• Experience promoting agreement and on complex projects involving multiple partners.
• Ability to identify, differentiate, and weigh conflicting risks practically and find creative solutions to novel, complex problems.
