Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders to support their needs and priorities.
  • Lead strategic projects to advance our BI and analytics capabilities, partnering across the BI team and business stakeholders to design, execute and rollout.
  • Establish a data literacy strategy to uplevel analytics teams and end users on data and metrics, working closely across the data governance, data modeling, and reporting teams to align efforts.
  • Identify and recommend value-add opportunities that may not be directly planned or requested by stakeholders.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements for our BI environment, development and deployment to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the continuous enhancement of our BI platform to optimize how users access and leverage insights.
  • Explore opportunities for automating repetitive analytics tasks to free up resources for more strategic activities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights, translating findings into clear, concise business recommendations.
  • Support the creation of dynamic dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Power BI.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify key business needs, and ensure accuracy while resolving ambiguity.
  • Partner with the BI modeling and reporting teams to recommend improvements to techniques, offerings and operations.
  • Ensure data systems and tools are intuitive and accessible to users with varying levels of data expertise.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, facilitating collaboration with the BI team and ensuring their needs are understood and met through effective BI solutions.
  • Consult with functional teams (e.g. sales, marketing, finance, HR, customer success) to understand their business challenges, identify data and dashboard solutions, and prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • Enhance communication strategies by keeping stakeholders aware of project status, promoting achievements and setting up QBRs to showcase recent deliverables.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across teams to leverage the BI platform and data throughout the organization.
  • Define, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and success of BI initiatives.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, assessing their potential application within the BI team and organization.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate new tools and techniques that could provide significant business value.

Candidates who live within a 45 mile radius of Waltham, MA, Detroit, MI, Denver, CO, or Mountain View, CA will be required to work hybrid.

Candidates are required to work EST hours for this position.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills in data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL).
  • Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
  • Awareness of Fivetran, DBT, Boomi and DataHub is a plus.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Monday.com is a plus.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing analytics strategies and managing large-scale analytics projects.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, including leadership and executives.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team environment and help resolve issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence senior management.
