Summary and company overview

Role Summary:

As part of IPRO's Data and Analytics (D&A) team, the Lead Cybersecurity Analyst will be dedicated to helping healthcare providers assess their cybersecurity vulnerabilities, determine their level of preparation against cyber-attack, and foster best practices through mitigation strategies, tools and resources. Also, the Lead Cybersecurity Analyst will understand the federal tools available to assess cybersecurity, which includes those found on the website of the Office of the National Coordinator (ASTP/ONC).

Travel: Up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert in healthcare cybersecurity.
  • Engage with providers to understand the challenges and requirements of cybersecurity. Be able to identify gaps in healthcare provider readiness for cybersecurity events and develop resources to refer healthcare providers to educational resources.
  • Establish resources for cybersecurity training and readiness to increase healthcare provider resilience to cybersecurity events.
  • Develop guidelines and tools to support providers' cybersecurity frameworks and countermeasures, incident response, continuity-of-operations, and recovery plans.
  • Engage with regional, local, state and federal partners and related stakeholders to develop relevant security frameworks for integration at the provider level.
  • Measure (KPI) that are related to cybersecurity, i.e.: such as the number of identified providers that have been connected to appropriate resources.
  • Project documentation to summarize findings, demonstrate progress of interventions, and formulate recommendations for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to assess an organization's cybersecurity and develop a corrective action plan to address cybersecurity gaps.
  • Ability to work independently and to be able to manage multiple client involvement simultaneously.
  • Be able to produce assigned deliverables within assigned deadlines.
  • Experience responding effectively to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, required.
  • Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry, strong understanding of medical records, health data security and other relevant regulations.
  • Cybersecurity certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in technical roles such as systems security or solutions architecture, required.

Additional commentary

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $105,000.00 – $125,000.00. Actual salary range and/or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
