We are actively looking for an experienced Software Engineer with in depth experience with C++ to join our Enterprise Browser development team.
Responsibilities
- Researching, designing and implement core features and services.
- Develop a deep understanding of the internals of key components of chromium, including the networking stack, security and identity primitives, etc.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to a wider team working on the project.
- Playing an active role in influencing the direction of and providing technical expertise on a variety of adjacent topics and projects underway at Versa.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Expert level experience in large scale C++ software development
- Must be up to date with modern C++ revision features (C++20)
- Solid understanding of object oriented software design principles
- Expertise in various multi-threaded/multi-process programming paradigms including asynchronous work scheduling, coroutines, locking, RPC and IPC mechanisms, etc.
- Good understanding of web related protocols, principles and technologies including HTTP, websockets, cookies, caching, content security policy, etc.
- Experience developing RESTful services
- Development experience on Windows
Preferred Qualifications
- Cross platform software development (Windows, Linux, MacOS)
- Good knowledge of chromium architecture and internals or experience implementing features on top of the core chromium browser engine.
- Experience writing browser extensions
