Amalgamated Bank seeks a driven Information Security Analyst a skilled and dedicated Information Security Analyst to join our organization's team. The Information Security Officer will play a crucial role in protecting sensitive customer data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and responding to emerging cyber threats specific to the banking industry.

Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential security risks. Be familiar with tools such as Arctic Wolf.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies tailored to the unique challenges of the banking sector.
- Incident Response and Investigation:
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts in the event of a security breach.
- Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Security Awareness Training:
- Design and deliver specialized security awareness training programs for bank employees.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and compliance among staff.
- Fraud Prevention:
- Implement and monitor fraud prevention measures to safeguard customer accounts and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to identify and respond to potential fraudulent activities.
- Vendor Security Oversight:
- Evaluate and manage the security practices of third-party vendors providing services to the bank.
- Ensure that vendors adhere to security standards and contractual obligations.
- Regulatory Audits and Reporting:
- Coordinate and participate in regulatory audits related to information security.
- Prepare and submit reports on the bank's security posture to regulatory authorities.
- Security Architecture and Technology:
- Work closely with IT teams to design and implement secure architecture for banking systems.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions relevant to the financial sector.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Hands on experience in Access Administration in a Financial Services Organization
- Experienced in roles based access control on banking systems
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification (or in progress)
- Experience in information security roles within the banking industry
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Additional commentary
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $75,000.00 – $85,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
