Responsibilities

  • Functions in a management role to plan, execute, and evaluate tabletop exercises, and other simulations
  • Creates Incident Response strategies and policies, by identifying gaps in processes, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Identify areas for program improvement, expansion of capabilities, or other areas to help mature the overall program.
  • Establish and manage Incident Response service level agreements.
  • Provide investigation assistance and coordinate mitigation efforts during an incident.
  • Maintains a high level of technical knowledge of platforms utilized throughout the environment
  • Respond to incidents and ensure all procedures are followed correctly to triage damage, mitigate risk to business operations, and coordinate actions and communications with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Design and engineer processes, procedures, and work instructions for all tasks related to IR and forensics.
  • Drive IR continuous improvement through KPIs, operational metrics, high-quality reports to technical and executive audiences, and Tabletop exercises.
  • Review and update the Information Security Incident Response Plan annually and on an as-needed basis.
  • Advise and approve tuning recommendations within security products to reduce the number of false positives and false negatives.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience: 7+ years overall experience with 1+ year experience as a Technology Team Lead or Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity/Information Security
  • Certification and Training: GSEC, GISF, GISP, GSNA, CISSP, CISM

  • Expertise in managing incident response and system monitoring and analysis.
  • Experience with compliance requirements (GLBA, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively communicate business risk as it relates to information security.
  • Knowledge of multiple computing platforms, including Windows, OSX, Linux, Unix, networks, and endpoints.
  • Experience with vulnerability and penetration testing engagements.
  • Strong Understanding of overall business functions and ability to provide input for IT architecture
  • Able to assist Customers to establish and prioritize projects and drive toward accomplishing those priorities
  • Able to be a technical skills mentor to team members to help them become proficient in technology and issue resolution
  • Drive for Results: Able to lead others to meet and exceed milestones

  • Superior verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills; ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment, and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers and senior management and ability to communicate with others in stressful situations using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict and maintain professionalism by corporate standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge, and ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
  • Ability and willingness to accept responsibility, challenge established practices, and draw relevant conclusions, and the persistence and willingness to take a calculated risk, and stimulate, market, and sell new ideas within the organization.
  • Excellent leadership skills to effectively lead and direct a diverse global team to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
  • Ability to act as a managerial advisor on professional and technical issues to reach strategic decisions; ability to manage conflicting demands for resources through negotiation.
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and/or crisis and render good decisions to resolve problems, maintain safety, and ensure adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct
