The Basics

The Director of Business Systems (CRM) here at Tanium reports to the Senior Director of Business Systems and is accountable for the team which owns strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance for most technology systems associated with Sales and Marketing for Tanium. This ecosystem includes Salesforce (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud), CPQ, Salesforce Community, Marketo, multiple Lead management tools and much more.

This role will work closely with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and related business units to develop and deploy new features and capabilities which support, enhance and enable our go-to-market teams. More than that, this role will be expected to partner with the business teams to build and implement a vision for these technologies going forward.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a vision for Sales & Marketing technology within Tanium – and make it happen
  • Manage a team of architects, engineers, and analysts responsible for the evolution and maintenance of Tanium’s Sales and Marketing technologies
  • Manage a team that is distributed across multiple locations and time zones
  • Manage the support team and measure support metrics to improve throughput and quality
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company, align and prioritize a multitude of business needs within a consolidated strategy
  • Consult on the implications of new systems, integrations, and changes to existing technologies
  • Refine and improve ongoing development, break-fix and implementation work using Agile methodologies
  • Define, mature, and enforce governance processes and technology controls
  • Work closely with the teams to ensure thorough and effective QA on projects
  • Monitor, measure and report on the health and effectiveness of Tanium’s Sales and Marketing technologies
  • Chair the Sales Systems steering committee
  • Maintain and develop relationships with executive leadership across Tanium to enhance strategy alignment and awareness of new and existing capabilities

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience. You know how to run a team of architects, administrators, engineers and analysts, assess performance, and cultivate talent.
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce development. Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, functionality, integrations, and development processes. This is a hands-on role that requires hands-on proficiency with Salesforce.
  • 3+ years of experience with peripheral Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities and Marketing tools (CPQ, Marketo, etc).
  • Strong knowledge of integration systems (Salesforce, Workato, APIs etc).
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Gearset, GitHub.
  • Strong experience working with Agile and Scrum and will require the ability lead the Agile team and manage the backlog.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of enterprise business applications (ERP, HRIS) is a plus.
  • Phenomenal verbal and written communication skills, success in this role will in large part be driven by your ability to connect with stakeholders and drive consensus.

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 to $425,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
