Do you want to work with a team focused on providing our clients with the very best representation? Butler Snow LLP is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Cybersecurity and Risk Management team.

Overview: The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's information assets and technologies. This individual will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems within our IT network. The Cybersecurity Engineer is expected to be well-versed in current and emerging security threats, as well as various security frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network.
  • Monitor network usage to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Keep records of security monitoring and incident response activities.
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master’s degree in one of these fields is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an information security role, with a minimum of 1 year in a security engineering or similar strategic role. Experience in managing security frameworks and compliance requirements is essential.
  • Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
  • Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security.
  • Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
  • Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies.
  • Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.
