The Cybersecurity Analyst will be working at our University of Iowa Campus location, providing Operational Technology and Industrial Control Systems (OT/ICS) cybersecurity compliance support to Iowa's Utility network and plants by coordinating the development, documentation and maintenance of security controls that achieve and maintain compliance with current Group Cybersecurity Framework requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cybersecurity support for OT/ICS environments at Iowa by developing and maintaining cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) frameworks and processes specific to OT/ICS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cybersecurity policies and procedures are integrated into OT/ICS operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and work with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and mitigate cybersecurity risks in OT/ICS environments to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current and emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices in OT/ICS.
  • Prepare and present cybersecurity reports and recommendations reporting on the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls and compliance initiatives to senior management.
  • Support the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness and training programs for employees working in OT/ICS environments at Iowa.
  • Provide support during cybersecurity incidents, ensuring effective communication and coordination with relevant parties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and industry groups.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certifications in Cybersecurity, networking or the ability to achieve them
  • Some experience in (OT/ICS) cybersecurity, with a focus on governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC)
  • Knowledge of OT/ICS environments and controls

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISA/IEC 62443 or ISO 27001 series preferred
  • Familiarity with health, safety and environmental best practices for industrial workplaces

  • Compensation
  • Salary Range: $62,400–$95,400 USD annually
  • This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
