The Role:

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Reporting to the IT Director, the Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable policies/regulations and best practices for the company’s enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Will work closely with third party vendors supporting implementation and maintenance of deployed cybersecurity systems.
  • Will integrate security products into the current environment to defend the enterprise from internal/external attacks.
  • Be the principal resource during cybersecurity audits.
  • Analyze alerts and remediate threats to the environment as necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support related initiatives.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, plus a minimum of 3 years direct industry experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of system vulnerabilities, exploitation, and mitigation strategies.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, be self-motivated and a self-starter, maintain a curiosity and desire to learn, and be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical network and/or security certifications (CISA, CISM, CCSP, CISSP, etc.) are highly desirable.

Additional commentary

  • Will have experience implementing cybersecurity systems to meet regulatory requirements in a Microsoft based environment.
  • Will act as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity by assisting leadership in defining, administering, and maintaining policies, processes, and systems for effective compliance management.
  • Will assist with the management of data classification and protection.
  • Will have experience implementing controls for NIST 800-171, CMMC, or similar frameworks.
  • Be prepared to make mistakes but learn from them, be open to feedback and willing to be coached.
