Job Description:

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the security of cloud-based systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT and development teams to develop security solutions, monitor cloud environments, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud security, a deep understanding of security best practices, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats. NA

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud security architectures, ensuring the protection of data and applications across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and threats, utilizing security tools and technologies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage cloud security configurations, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and security monitoring.
  • Respond to security incidents and breaches, leading investigations and coordinating with other teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into DevOps practices (DevSecOps).
  • Stay current with the latest cloud security trends, technologies, and threats, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of security documentation, including security policies, incident response plans, and compliance reports.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on cloud security best practices.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their security features.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, encryption, identity and access management, and network security.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation tools (Python, Terraform, etc.) for security tasks.
  • Solid understanding of compliance standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desirable.
