The Analyst of External Cyber Risk Defense team will support and create current and future state business process design and business capabilities needed. Deliver analysis and solution design, translate business requirements into process & system impacts and functional requirements. Support and create solution options based on research of current and future system capabilities, standard processes, and high-performing companies. The Analyst of External Cyber Risk Defense will support 3rd party vendor security related interactions with business partners, suppliers, and service partners. Integration with the cybersecurity and third-party communities internal to T-Mobile and external with partners such as vendors, government, industry, and other security organizations as necessary. This person will demonstrate critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and support team effort, projects, and associated initiatives. An understanding of security technologies, architecture, and standard processes will be critical to the success of this role. The team maintains the T-Mobile external scorecard, vendor security, and incident responses on vendors. The team reports on third-party risk and works with the Cyber Risk team to provide the external risk landscape. They work with partner teams to ensure security throughout the vendor lifecycle including contract negotiations on security requirements. The team also assists application owners and business unit teams to understand and implement the security aspects of their applications/contracts and advises on best security practices for new vendors and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Works with multi-functional groups and staff in the creation and testing of procedures, standard or regulatory controls to ensure the security and privacy of information on T-Mobile’s vendor networks.
  • Participate in information security review of new vendor technologies, designs, and remediation planning efforts.
  • Serves as a liaison between TPRM, procurement, legal, and other department representatives to improve the adoption of and support for vendor info security plans, procedures, and regulatory controls.
  • Participates in identifying security needs & recommends plans/resolutions. Implements, tests & monitors vendor info security improvements.
  • Support vendor info security policy lifecycle throughout, including intake, creation, review, approval, implementation, publishing, communication & maintenance.
  • Contribute to security projects driven by groups both internal and external to info security.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years experience in info security technology or related field.
  • Communication
  • Security

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL
  • NIST Frameworks
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Base Pay Range: $73,800 - $133,200
