Your Career

SASE is a significant source of revenue and growth at Palo Alto Networks. As a SASE Specialist, you drive the sale of the Palo Alto Networks SASE portfolio in the Western Region of the US - to include Prisma Access, Prisma SD-Wan and Next Gen CASB across a broad geographic territory of Enterprise accounts. Additionally, you work with a variety of other teams to execute the overall SASE Go-to-Market plan, providing thought leadership and enabling scale. You're motivated by the desire to solve critical security challenges facing our customers.

You are required to exceed your quota, obtain/maintain subject matter expertise, create/update detailed written plans, and regularly present to a variety of audiences (large and small, live and virtual).

Your Impact

  • Ability to work in partnership with your respective geography’s leadership to engage the SASE portfolio to customers, partners, and colleagues
  • Perform high-level sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of the business
  • Build a fundamental understanding of security threats, solutions, security tools or network technologies
  • Bring to bear all cross-functional resources to achieve your quota.
  • Stay updated on industry news and trends, and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services
  • Conduct in-person sessions, webinars and learning materials that can be consumed by the appropriate audience
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within accounts
  • Educate customers and partners on the modern network security landscape
  • Establish relationships with and sell through channel partners
  • Travel 50% + throughout the Western US, and to company-wide meetings

Your Experience

  • Consider yourself technical enough to cover some accounts while your SE is busy assisting others
  • Above quota sales experience in a high-tempo culture
  • Experience selling network infrastructure-based security appliances including, but not limited to - Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches, SD-WAN
  • Practical experience working with routing and switching products that will be installed adjacent to our appliances
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbally
  • Experience working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel centric go to market approach
  • Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $255000 - $351000/YR.   • Perform high-level sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of the business
  • Generate volume opportunities to deliver a predictable book of business and drive forecast accuracy
  • Engage a programmatic approach to demand generate, develop, and expand your territory
  • In close partnership with your Systems Engineer, you'll demonstrate mid-market account selling strategies into a mix of install base and competitively held private companies
  • Communicate value propositions to clients and stakeholders that speak intimately to their needs and requirements
  • Bring to bear all cross-functional resources to achieve your quota - inside sales, channel systems engineering, field marketing, cyber security sales specialists, the services team, sales ops (including deal desk and the response team), and others
  • Stay updated on industry news and trends, and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services
  • Travel as necessary within your territory, and to company-wide meetings

Required Qualifications

  • BS technical degree or equivalent and consider yourself technical enough to cover some accounts while your SE is busy assisting others or equivalent military experience required
  • Active security clearance - TS/SCI
  • Understand how to win by using Channel partners, and are comfortable with a channel-centric go-to market approach
  • Strong partnerships/relationships with existing Federal/Civilian customers mentioned
  • Build a fundamental understanding of security threats, solutions, security tools or network technologies
  • Grave understanding of CSPM, CWP as well as CNAP
  • History of exceeding your quota for at least 3 years
  • Possess a successful track record selling complex-solutions directly to mid-market customers
  • Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • CASB understanding highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to segment accounts across territory and dig in using entire ecosystem with specific focus on partners and marketing (1 to many)
  • Have and are able to lead all aspects of the sales cycle with the ability of uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new, white-space territories and accounts
  • Highly competitive, ramp quickly, extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals

Your Career

The Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks. As a Solutions Consultant you provide technical leadership and expertise and guidance in your customer’s security transformation journey. You will play a key role in defining technical solutions that secure a customer’s key business imperatives and ensuring value realization of their investment with Palo Alto Networks. You evangelize our industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services that establish PANW as your customer’s cybersecurity partner of choice.

Your Impact

  • Meeting and exceeding sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans that target cross-platform solutions
  • Your ability to position, demonstrate and create high level designs across the entire PANW portfolio based on customer business needs
  • Conducting discovery to understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of your prospects and customers
  • Working closely with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure overall customer implementation and adoption of solutions
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to influence through effective presentations and customer-specific demos, technical engagements, and workshops
  • Leading successful technical validation efforts based on best practices to ensure technical win in assigned opportunities
  • Orchestrating supporting resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) to ensure a one-team approach that demonstrates a cohesive strategy
  • Promoting end-to-end solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services to ensure customers realize business value sooner
  • Understanding the competitive landscape and effectively differentiating our leadership
