Job Summary

As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust security strategy to protect customer data, DataVisor Services and systems. You’ll work closely with executive leadership to ensure security initiatives align with our business objectives. This critical leadership role requires a forward-thinking leader, with strong communication skills, and well-versed in the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

  • Strategic Security Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across all areas of the business and services.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, PCIDSS, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Incident Response: Establish and lead the incident response team, coordinating efforts during security incidents or breaches.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and regularly update security policies and best practices across the organization.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Oversee the cybersecurity budget and resource allocation to ensure effective risk mitigation within budget constraints.
  • Vendor Management: Assess and manage security aspects of third-party vendors and partners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with eng, Legal, Risk Management, and other departments to align security initiatives with business objectives.
  • Customer communications: Communicate with customers regarding our security policies and strategies, and facilitate business teams in completing customer’s security questionnaires and relevant due diligence requirements. Collaborate with customers on pentest and audit requirements wherever applicable.
  • Awareness and Training: Lead initiatives to educate and train employees on security best practices and awareness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, threats, and trends, incorporating them into the security strategy as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Engineering background and site reliability experience are a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant certifications strongly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001) and security operations (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to hire, lead, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams and manage change effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong communication skills to translate complex security concepts into business-friendly language. Ability to collaborate with different internal and external teams effectively and smoothly.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address cybersecurity challenges.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to align security initiatives with business goals and adapt strategies to changing threat landscapes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a CISO or similar executive role in a high-growth or technology-driven organization.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, especially with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
  • Experience in implementing zero-trust architectures and leading security transformation programs.
  • Experience in all aspects of security: compliance, application-level security, vulnerability testing, and detection and response.
  • Experience working with banking sectors, regulatory bodies or in highly regulated environments.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Business Systems to lead our shared, internal business systems technology stack including our Salesforce platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our shared internal systems of record support the company's growth and quality objectives. Our aim is to provide a seamless experience for our operations while adhering to best practices in data management, reporting, and governance.

This role is ideal for a seasoned B2B SaaS professional with a strong background in the business systems of record including Salesforce and the ecosystem of tools that integrate with it, and data needed to operate a B2 SaaS company at scale. This individual is expected to significantly impact the readiness of Daxko’s business system technology strategy and operations. Success in this role means that we have the systems to support our commercial operations; provide trusted data and insights to drive decisions for key functions such as sales, marketing, finance, customer experience, and legal; and the company can provide accurate and timely operational and financial reporting to company leadership, the Board of Directors, and the company’s investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Roadmap Development
    • Proactively define and execute the strategic vision for the entire business technology stack, including but not limited to Salesforce. You must be the technical subject matter expert in conversations regarding business system solutions and the business processes.
    • Based on evaluation and gap analyses for the current (“as is”) technology and processes, develop a comprehensive roadmap to deliver a high-performing system of record that aligns with business goal and develop enhancements to existing processes to achieve efficiencies, to drive strategic objectives including data quality and accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure that the technology stack and our business data are scalable, secure, and capable of supporting future growth.
  • Governance & Architecture
    • Establish and manage governance frameworks for system architecture, field governance, and data governance across sales, marketing, customer experience, finance, and legal.
    • Ensure that system architecture supports the efficient and effective flow of data.
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices in system usage, data integrity, and compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as the liaison between stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    • Set priorities and allocate available resources for system enhancements and integrations across all business functions.
  • Own the process for senior leadership team review and ratification of all plans.
  • Budgeting & Resource Management
    • Prepare/propose an annual budget for the Business Systems team to meet the organization’s needs and objectives while balancing the company’s overall profitability objectives.
    • Day-to-day management of the Business Systems team, including full-time staff and third-party vendors.
    • Ensure that resources are allocated effectively to deliver on the strategic roadmap.
    • Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize costs and services.
  • Recruit and build a world-class team that knows how to deliver great customer experiences
  • System Enhancements & Optimization
    • Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end. Define clear requirements for system enhancements and new functionalities.
    • Oversee the implementation of significant technology enhancement including new CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) rebuild, Netsuite integration and the deployment of a CDP (Customer Data Platform) across markets

Qualifications

  • B2B SaaS Expertise
    • Extensive experience in B2B SaaS environments with a deep understanding of revenue operations, funnel management, customer experience, support operations
    • Expert negotiator and seasoned in contract management and financial operations
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing end-to-end best practices.
  • Salesforce & Technology Stack Knowledge
    • 7+ years Salesforce technical experience across multiple Clouds - Sales, Marketing, Service, Experience, etc. In-depth knowledge of Salesforce at an architectural level, including deep experience with CPQ.
    • Deep expertise in the extended Salesforce ecosystem typical of a B2B SaaS organization including marketing automation, sales engagement, enrichment, lead routing, calendaring, contracting, and other necessary business tools
    • Experience in managing a data strategy and implementing data warehouse solutions that support business intelligence and analytics. Experience leading and managing reporting and analytics strategy and functions is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation and integration projects including financial systems or help desk.
  • Leadership & Communication
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead direct staff and cross-functional teams. Able to think rigorously, communicate effectively, and make or coordinate hard decisions and tradeoffs. Track record of leading successful and impactful Business Systems teams.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and assess complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions and business processes.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that enhance system performance.
  • Education
    • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
