Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the deployment of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and other Defender solutions
  • Configure security policies and settings to align with organizational requirements
  • Integrate Defender solutions with existing security tools and infrastructure

Optimize and Maintain:

  • Regularly review and optimize Defender configurations to ensure maximum protection
  • Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades as necessary
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement

Collaborate and Train:

  • Work with customer security teams to implement best practices and security controls
  • Provide training and support to end-users and technical staff on Defender solutions
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Microsoft security solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft 365 Defender, and other related tools.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Defender solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate

Additional commentary

  • ITAR Compliance

This position will have access to customer data and as such is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Upon application, candidates will be asked to confirm that they are a U.S. Person as defined by the following:

  • The anticipated salary range for this role is $120,000 to $180,000 + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
